Deputy mayor of Shymkent Berdenov targeted in shooting; suspect detained

ASTANA. April 22 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) – Deputy Mayor of Shymkent Ruslan Berdenov has been attacked by an armed man near the city administration building and taken to hospital with gunshot wounds in the thigh and shoulder, news agency Kazinform reported.
