National Bank of Kazakhstan expected to maintain base rate at 14.25% amid rising inflation concerns

ASTANA. Aug 29 (Interfax-Kazakhstan) - The Monetary Policy Committee of the National Bank of Kazakhstan is expected to announce its decision on the base rate today. Analysts surveyed by Interfax-Kazakhstan believe the central bank will likely maintain the current rate of 14.25%. This expectation stems from a recent uptick in annual inflation.
